Rubber Door Mat – Lattice
Presented in a classic lattice pattern, this rubber door mat brings a traditional yet versatile look to any doorstep. The open, criss‑cross design is not just for show — it forms a network of channels that effectively scrape dirt from shoes and allow water to drain away. The neutral black or dark colour keeps the mat looking tidy and is particularly forgiving of heavy use in wet weather.

  • Core benefits: Rubber as a material offers a slight cushion that makes the mat more comfortable to stand on than rigid plastic or coir alternatives. The underside features a granular or studded construction that locks the mat in place on smooth surfaces, drastically reducing the chance of slipping. Moisture, including rain and slush, is handled swiftly — the lattice grooves channel water off the walking surface, and the mat dries quickly once the weather clears. Cleaning is refreshingly easy: a shake, a hose‑down, or a simple wipe keeps it in good condition.
  • Material: Natural or synthetic rubber, moulded into a single piece for exceptional durability and weather resistance.
  • Thickness: A medium profile that provides ample depth for the lattice to work as a scraper and drain, while still fitting comfortably under most entrance doors.

Structure and detailing: The lattice pattern consists of raised intersecting lines with recessed areas between them. The edges of the mat are tapered or bevelled to minimise the risk of tripping. Because the mat is moulded as one piece, there are no separate layers that might peel apart. The rubber has a natural weight, so the mat tends to stay put even without a separate backing layer.

Usage scenarios: Ideal for front and rear doorways, garden gates, conservatories, and garages. It performs equally well outdoors in exposed positions and indoors in a utility or boot room. The lattice design is unisex and suits both traditional and modern properties.

Cleaning and care: Remove dried mud by shaking the mat or tapping it against a wall. The mat can be rinsed with a garden hose or scrubbed with a soft brush and mild soapy water. Allow it to drain and dry completely on both sides before returning it to its place. Prolonged exposure to harsh chemicals or very high‑pressure washing should be avoided.

Important notes: Dimensions are taken by hand and may carry a small tolerance. A rubber odour upon unpacking is normal; air the mat in a well‑ventilated area for a few days and the scent will gradually disappear.
